- Mervin Suttel is mentioned as the State's AG who is stepping down
- Members of the commission investigating the riot: Alvah Case; Judge Fee and Mr. Balling, focusing on preceding events; Bishop Callahan and Mr. Dodge dealign with behavior of the inmates and the staff during the riot; Mrs Eiduson and Dudley Fried focusing on the decision to send the SORT team
- SORT team uses 9mm in their handguns
- There's a prisoner named Billy Kempf
