fringe x oz thoughts!

Post 1:
hggggn niche post and all but WHICH would be funnier tbh: Miguel going into Fringe's Prime Universe (less of a head fuck than getting dropped into the Other Side obv) or Other Charlie getting dropped into Oz (funnier and more plausible than Charlie Prime getting dropped into Oz) (actually it would be funny if Charlie Prime ended up in Oz.... he has such Put Upon Fed energy he would probably not even seem all that different from Tired Miguel while he silently tries to figure out wtf is happening)
meanwhile if Miguel woke up in any Fringe universe I feel like he'd immediately start running. No reason to even pretend to be Charlie and hang around (Also if he showed up in Prime—depending on when—he'd probably get waterboarded or something while they tried to figure out what the deal was)
Post 2:
imposter mode would basically be like this scene where he was going "act normal act normal act noooormalll"
Post 3:
I keep getting reminded of this because sometimes when I search up Oz episodes, Google uses the Charlie Francis Fringe promo photo as a thumbnail...!!
Anyway, I'm thinking more like:
Alt Charlie gets dropped int Oz Universe and is the one who gets picked up in Nogales Arizona and brought back to Oz. (The cops are like: scar on face, CHECK.... Must be Wanted Fugitive, Miguel Alvarez)
(This is alt Charlie AKA other charlie AKA scarlie, lol:)
I'm mostly interested in the confusion that would occur when alt Charlie arrives in Oz (he's just going along quietly with things, waiting for his team to pick him up from this universe), and it's quite obviously that he's NOT Miguel but he looks kind of like Miguel if he was like 10 years older and their fingerprints match 🤨 and he even agrees with it like "Yeah, Miguel Alvarez, that's me, sure. Whatever. Oooh you caught me."
- (Miguel meanwhile, still on the run, seeing a face that's almost his being flashed on the news: what the fuck??)
- Glynn is somewhat baffled but still sticks alt Charlie in solitary, where Scarlie is only too happy to be (will make his inevitable mysterious vanishing simpler, assuming all goes smoothly). He refuses Glynn's deal to snitch but unfortunately his amazing calmness and strangely hinged behavior get him booted out of Solitary because McManus takes an early interest in "Miguel" after a Staff Room discussion where Mukada notes that "Miguel" seemed strangely agreeable and forthcoming in remorse and acceptance for what he had done in the past.
- Of course, having been in Oz Universe some time, and having to take medication to keep the spider infestation in his blood under control, Charlie starting to get a bit twitchy about how long he has until horrible monsters take over his body and cause chaos and destruction in this universe that seems otherwise (mostly) unaffected by fringe events. So I think he would end up trying to escape somehow or get himself isolated—maybe confess to having knowledge about a crime (taking a chance that non-fringe crimes from his universe are similar to the ones in Oz universe, he could maybe throw around a few names that he knows and hope one of them sticks), thus getting himself put into PC while the claims are investigated and the Oz universe FBI are like wtf?
- Vasquez still tries to kill him but alt Charlie is just like "Who even are you?" and fights him, disarming him instead of killing him. Then he's off to PC to wait and hopefully get pulled back to his universe before the spiders take over -_-
- Meanwhile Mukada comes to visit Charlie and notes that he doesn't look like he's doing too hot and Charlie is like Yuuup. Says something cryptic about how if worse comes to worse, just don't open the cell and clear out the block. Let SORT take care of things. (Mukada is like wtf?)(standard response to Charlie at this point)
- Mukada takes the leap and is finally the one who says what many have suspected: You're not Miguel Alvarez, are you?
- Charlie, shrugging: Nope
- Mukada is stricken by this news. Although it's exactly what he expected, it's still strange for it to be confirmed... He asks Charlie who he is and where he came from—why he didn't deny being Miguel
- The answer: Charlie Francis, another universe (believe it or not), and it's easier just to go along with things. He's got friends that are searching for him and will get him out before something bad happens. Hopefully.
- Mukada asks him what bad things will happen and Charlie just says, cagily, that he's got a disease and if he doesn't get his medication soon, it's going to get ugly for everyone.
- Buuut for the sake of keeping the crossover clean (and because the fringe team always pulls it off in the end), I think Charlie would end up pulling a disappearing act (from Mukada's POV) shortly after "confessing" everything to Mukada. I think Mukada being a man of faith is uniquely positioned to believe what Charlie tells him, even if it takes him a bit of time to think it over; I think it would be cool if by the time Mukada decides that he 100% does in fact believe Charlie—and then goes back to talk to him again, Charlie is already gone
- (Maybe Fauxlivia and alt Lincoln followed Scarlie into Oz Universe but found Miguel instead. Pretty quickly observed that he wasn't Charlie and let him on his way, though they later realised that Charlie had gotten taken to Oz in place of the jumpy looking hitchhiker they had originally tried to approach. After that, they had to regroup and figure a way to break Charlie out of Oz without causing too much damage to the Oz timeline, which took a couple weeks...)
- Epilogue: Miguel, in some bordertown in Mexico, reading an English newspaper left behind on a cafe table by some tourist: apparently, fearsome fugitive Miguel Alvarez just escaped from Oswald for a second time in less than a year
