protip: you can bypass your complete lack of interest in celebrity but amusement with and desire to write rpf by writing an Acting AU....

and you can also make up a legion of fans who ship it too.... there's no way to lose here 🤔 write a fic where the characters are actors playing their storylines (or references/playing around with the canon) in a show and then make their get together a meta commentary on the reason you ship in the first place 🧠

Miguel and Chico getting really into pretend-hating each other and playing enemies in the show because "irl" they get along fabulously and dabble in flirting territory.... but Uh oh! That'd make it kind of weird, right? Haha!!
Their scenes are sexually charged because they came up with a joke/back story that Chico's character has a hate boner so that's how they secretly decided to play it. Haha, so crazy!
Oh, the fans of the show noticed? 🥴 They're making gifs?

I think in the acting au's show there's graphic Toby/Chris sex scenes🫡 but “irl” Toby is married w 3 kids and his wife Gen is a recurring director on the show
Chris does have 3 ex wives and sleeps around a lot meanwhile. he's in the tabloids for being spotted around town with college boys
Vern's still a dick but he's an acclaimed Actor and a fan favorite or something so everyone's like What're you gonna do
